MATERIALS REQUIRED—American Threadcompany
Sillateen Sansil.

2  Balls White or Colors.

Steel Crochet Hook No. 10 (1.30mm).

For this size hook, I’d use

SIZE 30 Super fine

DMC brand.  I have seen this at Michaels. Herrschner’scarries nine colors of this thread. This is a cotton thread so if you want more colors, you would need to use fabric dye or paint

Pattern in US terms.

Ch 113, turn and work 112 sc on ch, break thread.

2nd Row—Fasten thread in 28th st and work 1 sc in each of the next 28 sts, 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in each of the next 28 sts (taking up back loop of st only throughout), ch 1, turn.

3rd Row—1 sc in each sc.

4th Row—1 sc in each sc to center, 3 sc in center st, 1 sc in each remaining st, ch 1, turn.

Repeat 3rd and 4th rows until there are 21 ribs, break thread.

Work 2 rows of sc around entire bib taking up both loops.

Next Row—Ch 4, dc in same space, ch 1, dc in same space, ch 1, dc in same space, *ch 1 skip 2 sc, sc in next sc, ch 1, skip 2 sc, 4 dc with ch 1 between in next sc, and repeat from * all around.

At back ends of bib and wherever necessary skip 1 sc between scallops to keep work flat.

Pattern in UK terms.

Ch 113, turn and work 112 dc on ch, break thread.

A practical and amusing baby bib to be crocheted of Enterprise Yarn. Soft and absorbent, it makes a good feeder, holds a lot of moisture and prevents soiling of the clothes be­neath. In white and de­sign in pink or blue, it’s an acceptable shower gift or bazaar item.

Materials: One ball (or 2 skeins) white, 30 yds. color.

Enterprise yarn is discontinued but you can use Aunt Lydia’s Size 3 Fashion Thread as a substitute.

Size: 9 x 10 inches (22.86x 25.40 cm).
Steel Crochet Hook No. 1 (2.75mm).

Pattern in US terms.

NECK BAND: With white, ch 33, sk last st, 32 sc on ch. Fasten off.

Ch 12, sl st in first sc, ch 1, turn, sk last st of 12-ch, sc in next st, (ch 1, sc in next second st) 5 times. Ch 1, turn, sc in last sc, (ch 1, sc in next sc) 5 times, ch 1, sl st in next sc on neck band (1 rib).

Work each sc in sc of previous rows unless stated otherwise.

BUNNIES—

Body—With color, ch 3, making first st twice usual length, (1 dc, 9 tr and 1 dc) in long st, ch 2, sl st in same st, ch 6, sl st in same st. Fasten off. Tack 6-ch up on body for tail.

HEAD: Ch 2, 2 hdc in starting st, ch 9, sl st in last hdc, 1 hdc in same starting st, ch 9, sl st in hdc, hdc and sl st in starting st. Fasten off. Lay body over base of head and tack together. Make 3 Bunnies.

Make 1 ch 4½” long, 1 – 3″ long and 1 – 1½” long. As illustrated, sew bunnies on with ch under each. Make 3 leaf groups of 2 Lazy Daisy Sts on longest ch and 1 on middle ch.

TIES—Ch. Crochet to desired length,—twist tightly—double and twist again. Make 2—tack free ends to each end of neck band.
