Fashion Doll Crochet Dress 1

SIZE:  Fits 11-1/2″ fashion doll.

Materials

Small snap fasteners or.

Size 1 (2.75 mm) steel crochet hook.

Crafter’s Square Princess yarn. Size 1 superfine (sock, fingering, baby)

Guage: 5 sc =1 inch (2.54 cm)

Shell stitch 2dc, ch2, 2dc

Pattern in US terms.

DRESS:  Beg at neck edge ch 22.

Row 1:  Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across.  Ch 1, turn.

Row 2:  Sc in first sc, * ch 1, skip next sc, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next sc, ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next sc, repeat from * across. Ch 3 to turn.(5 shells)

Row 3:  (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 space of each shell across, dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3 to turn.

Row 4:  (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in each ch-2 sp across, dc in top of turning ch Ch 3, to turn. (10 shells)

Row 5: Shell in first shells, ch 2, skip 2 shells, shell in each of next 4 shells., ch 2, skip 2 shells, shell in last shell, dc in top of turning ch.  Ch 3 to turn. (6 shells)

Row 6:  Shell in first shell, dc in ch 2, shell in each of next 4 shells, dc in ch 2, shell in last shell, dc in top of turning ch–6 shells.  Ch 3 to turn.

Rows 7: Shell in first shell, dc in dc, shell in each of next 4 shells, dc in dc, shell in last shell, dc in top of turning ch–6 shells.  Ch 3 to turn.

Row 8: Shell in first shell, dc ch 2 dc in next dc, shell in each of next 4 shells, dc ch 2 dc in next dc, shell in last shell, dc in top of turning ch–6 shells.  Ch 3 to turn.

Row 9: Shell in each ch 2 across. (8 shells) Ch 3 to turn.

Row 10: repeat row 9.

Row 11:  (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 space of each shell across, dc in top of turning ch. Ch 3 to turn.

Row 12:  Shell in each ch-2 sp across, dc in top of turning ch–14 shells.  Ch 3 to turn. (16 shells)

Rows 13-14:  Repeat row 12.

Row 15: Work 6 dc in each ch 2 around.  Dc in turn ch 3.

FINISHING:  Sew back seam leaving enough space to pull over dolls head.  Close back with snap fasteners.
