Materials Used:
Lion Brand Summer Nights, Ocean Cove, size 1
Steel Crochet Hook No. 1 (2.35 mm)
Stitches used in US terms
Ch/ch chain
Sc/sc single crochet
Dc/dc double crochet
Sl st/sl st Slip stitch
Pattern in US terms.
Ch 9. Join with sl st to make a ring.
1st round: Make 18 sc in ring; join with a sl st.
2nd round: Ch 4, 1 dc in each of the next 2 sc, * ch 3, sl st in 3rd st from hook (picot), ch 1, 1 dc in each of the next 3 sts; repeat from * around, ch 3, sl st in 3rd st from hook (picot); sl st to top of first dc.
Cut thread. Finish loose threads.
Make another one for back of penny cover. Holding the penny in place, sew the two pieces together with matching thread.
